Macbeth
Macbeth is Shakespeare's most powerful and breath taking play, or so call literature masterpiece. It reviewed the story of a brave but greedy Scottish general 'Macbeth', whose ambition was sparked by the prophecy of three witches, by the words of "one day he will become the king of Scotland". Consumed by ambition, He was persuaded by his wife to murder King Duncan in order to step up for the throne. Macbeth was then soaked in guilt and paranoia , and soon went on a never returning path of murder to conceal his suspicion and enmity. By time a civil war broke out where Malcolm returns for his throne, leading to the death of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.
Characters
MacbethMacbeth is a Scotland general who was informed by the three witches' prophecy that he will one day become king of Scotland. Macbeth is resembled as a brave soldier and a powerful man, but he is not a virtuous one, he is easily consumed by his ambitions, to satisfy himself temptation to murders appeared. He proves himself better suited as a general rather than a political intrigue, he respond everything with violence, but never comfortable in his chosen path as a murderer. Consequently he was unable to bear the psychological consequences of his sins.
MalcolmMalcolm serves as the son of King Duncan (who had been murdered by Macbeth). His return to the throne symbolises Scotland return to order. After his escape to England, he won the support of Macduff (Macduff's wife and son was killed by Macbeth) and the English army. He later became Macbeth's death threatening challenge. Unfortunately, he was presented as weak and has uncertainty towards his rightful powers.

Lady MacbethLady Macbeth is Macbeth's wife, the mastermind of all Macbeth's dark deeds. She is a deeply ambitious women who admires for power and position within her surroundings. Her characteristics were presented as the dominant one out of the two at the early stage of the play, she seems to be stronger, more ruthless than Macbeth. However, after the beginning of the bloodshed, she falls into total madness drowning in naked guilt of King Duncan's murder, suffering a greater degree than Macbeth. As the suffering extend to the next level, she eventually committed suicide.
BanquoBanquo is Macbeth's formal best friend, he is considered as a brave and noble general. On accordance to the three witches, his son will inherit the Scottish throne. But unlike Macbeth he did not drown within his ambitious thoughts and did not act upon his thoughts. In a sense Banquo's characteristics stand as a rebuke to Macbeth. Unfortunately he was murdered by Macbeth, but through the murder, he served as Macbeth's worst nightmare, his ghost haunted Macbeth leading to his final step down.
